1950 GMC 100

View Description

Painted in a classic red and black two tone with brown vinyl interior. This truck was treated to a frame off restoration in 2005 that included rebuilding the suspension, brakes and of course disassembling everything, cleaning priming and painting. The original 228 inline 6 and 4 speed manual transmission were in great running condition, so they were left alone. The GMC 228 cubic inch inline six made 96 horsepower compared to the Chevy's 90 horsepower 216 cubic inch inline 6. They also featured a stronger frame and different colors, hub caps, grille and tailgate that were specific to GMCs. In 1950, GM also did away with...

It is ready to enjoy today and priced to sell immediately.

BACKGROUND: Beginning in 1920, GMC and Chevrolet trucks became largely similar, built as variants of the same platform, sharing much the same body sheet-work, except for nameplates and grilles though their differences, especially engines, have varied over the years. GMC advertising marketed its trucks to commercial buyers and businesses, whereas the Chevy's targeted private ownership. From 1939 to 1974 GMC had its own line of six-cylinder engines, first the inline sixes known as 'Jimmy's' from 1939 to 1959 (source: Wikipedia).

This particular GMC truck has an easy to start and fun to drive 228 Inline Straight Six. It is still being driven by a 4-speed manual transmission on the floor. It has a powered by 'you' steering and braking and only a few thousand miles after the rebuild. The current owner is its second post-rebuild.

One of the best reasons to be interested in this 1953 GMC Truck is how unique this color scheme is. The exterior body has been painted in a Red that has maintained very good quality. The running boards fitted tight to the body and can withstand the pressure of body weight climbing in the truck....

1959 GMC Pickup

View Description

The Fleet series by GMC was a line designated in 1955 for budget minded companies that needed trucks to run errands. This one was believed to be a truck that air force used for many years as they used many of these when first produced. Today they are an extremely rare truck with only about 100 believed to be in existence today. Most had the grill replaced with the fancier chrome one and the single headlight replaced with the dual ones. This particular 59 has had a complete frame off restoration with nothing left untouched. It has either been replaced refurbished or cleaned up to like new condition if it's on this GMC. Start with the body, all cab corners were replaced with brand new ones and welded into place with the headboard of the bed as well as tailgate were all replaced with fresh metal. Once the body was back in good shape the frame was blasted and took down to bare so that the body and the frame were ready to be brought back to new again. The frame was painted while the bed and cab waited their turn. The Classic blue and white was laid out giving this...

View Description

This classic truck has been beautifully restored to its former glory and finished off with a gorgeous Black Cherry paint. Photos do not do this color justice. It has a deep shine and the pearls glimmer brightly in the sun. The 20' black wheels are an excellent compliment to the black cherry paint and have been wrapped in brand new rubber. Inside the bed of the truck, you will notice that the builder has stained the wood black to match the wheels and keep this truck looking tough. Powering the truck is a chevy 350 that has been bored. 020 over and has harden valve seats. Transferring the power is a TH350 transmission that is mated to a 12 bolt rear end. Handling is made easy with power steering, power brakes, and brand new shocks in the front and rear. Moving inside the cab we have gray leather seats and the center console from a modern GM truck. The dash has been color matched to the exterior of the vehicle and it really helps tie this interior together. Another great addition to the interior is the updated Bluetooth...
