1984 Cadillac Eldorado
View Description
Cadillac made an 'open' vehicle either without or top or convertible top ever since the company was formed in 1902 but sadly the convertible was discontinued from the American auto market in 1976 and some thought that owning a new Cadillac Convertible would never be a possibility. By the early 1980's some noteworthy conversion companies such as American Sunroof Company, Custom Coach and Hess and Eisenhardt began converting the Eldorado into a convertible. This high quality example was done by Hess and Eisenhardt, whom also produced armored cars and limousines to royalty, dignitaries and celebrities such as Mamie Eisenhower, John F. Kennedy and Elvis Presley. Upon first inspection you will see that this vehicle has led a privileged life having only 2 owners and spending most of its life in sunny Titus Alabama and driven only on nice days. In addition to years of TLC this car has had the engine and transmission recently rebuilt and this car runs and shifts like a new car and is very smooth and comfortable to drive.
The Air-Conditioning is nice and cold, those flimsy bumper fillers were replaced with high quality reproductions and the convertible top mechanism was replaced with genuine Hess and Eisenhardt...
