The LTD was Fords full-size offering, but strict emissions regulations were forcing Fords hand into downsizing their lineup. In the effort to downsize, the -Panther- chassis was introduced. The panther serves as a Chassis for the LTDs successor, the Crown Victoria until its demise in 2011. 1979 saw the first year of the Panther on the redesigned LTD. This example is powered by a 351w and an automatic transmission. With a believed original 31,274 actual miles, the car drives as good as new, and looks it, too.
