The MGB was produced by the British Motor Corporation and later under the British Leyland Corporation from 1962-1980 with this example being the final production year model.

The MGB was unique for being the first car to be made utilizing a unitary body design compared to the body on frame design in use at the time. This helped keep weight down and strength high in body rigidity. It featured standard roll up windows a comfortable cockpit with plenty of leg room. It was also the first model to incorporate body crumple zones.

Its powered by an inline 1798cc inline four cylinder producing 85hp and 110 ft lbs mated up to a 4 speed syncro-meshed manual trans. The MG Midget would see many versions during its long life but none would be as good looking as these first run vehicles. This beautiful red example is a fantastic way of getting into the collector car world without having to spend a small fortune. The red paint is slick and smooth and gives the MG Midget that hot sport car vibe. The underneath is clean and rust free with no signs of any patch panels it appears the car was well taken care of. The steel wheels with the dog dish hubcaps give the car a much more American look. The engine is the original 1098CC inline 4 that runs very strong.
