The 4-4-2 name derives from the original set up of the first car that debuted in 1964. The set up was just that a 4-barrel carb, 4 speed transmission and dual exhaust. Pretty much everything desired on your first gen muscle cars.
This beautiful basin blue convertible is equipped a monster 455 CID V8 that purrs like a kitten but roars like a lion when you put the pedal to the metal. That monster of a powerhouse is paired to a 3-speed automatic transmission that shifts smoothly through the gears. It has a 10-bolt rear end but we are unsure of the rear end gear ratio but it seems to be lower for lower rpm at higher speeds.
The exterior is in great condition and shows well. The paint is nice quality, done well, and free from any ding, dents, or rust. The exterior trim, bumpers, lights, front grill, emblems, & glass are in great shape. The car sits on its original Olds wheels that are wrapped in white lettered Cooper radial tires that have plenty of life left in them.
