The 429 has been refreshed 'from crank to rocker arms', and it is truly built for the horsepower junkie. A Jeg's high output starter turns things over, and the MSD billet distributor provides reliable ignition. A big 750 CFM Edelbrock 4BBL carb sits atop the Edelbrock Victor Jr. aluminum intake and makes sure that the huge 429 has plenty of fuel at the top end of the RPM spectrum. A QuickTime bell housing provides occupant safety if there was a destructive clutch failure, and the new Ram Clutch kit also has a Ram hydraulic throwout bearing. Custom ceramic-coated headers feed into the dual side-pipes and provide for that great throaty sound that the early Cobras were famous for. A full set of Autometer Phantom gauges help the driver monitor critical operating functions. Fast is a complete understatement. With little to no weight and a potent V8 up front, this thing is a rocket, and this rocket has been very well kept and cared for over its life, having only covered 9603 miles since it was built in 2005, so it's broken in but not worn out.
