1974 International Scout

View Description

These Scouts were produced between '61 and '80 to compete against the reputable Jeep name. Some people today may even say they are a strong competitor against the iconic Ford Bronco as there is a strong resemblance.

This Scout is powered by a 392 CID V8 which features a 727 3-speed automatic transmission. The power is driven through a Dana 44 rear end. With plenty of off-road capability this truck is up for a good challenge.

The interior has been stripped of carpeting to make cleaning a bit easier after a day in the mud. Undercoating has been applied throughout to prevent any cancerous rust from forming over time.

View Description

The Scout is an off-road vehicle produced by International Harvester from 1961 to 1980. The 1962 International Harvester Scout 80 came as a 4x2 or a 4x4, sat on a 100-inch wheelbase, and was offered in four configurations, the no-top Roadster, the Cab-Top pickup, the Travel-Top station wagon, and the Panel-Top panel. The tops were interchangeable, the door glass removable, the doors themselves removable, the windshield foldable, and the Scout initially had a permanently fixed bulkhead behind the seats leaving a 5-foot cargo area that was 54 inches wide at the top.

This 1962 International Harvester Scout 80 features a 196 CID engine and 3-speed manual transmission. The Yellow and White exterior looks good on this classic SUV. The Gray vinyl interior is clean and in good condition as well. Sporting All Wheel Drive, this...

1962 International Scout

View Description

The Scout was the company's competitor to the now popular Jeep. The only issue was they had no idea if the market would be big enough to support 2 4WD leisure vehicles. Introduced to the public in 1960 and only taking 24 months to build from sketch drawing to finish. This was a monumental feat considering the size of IH as a company requiring them to piece out the job. IN other words, IH did not build the Scout they put it together. This cool little Scout has come a long way since it left the factory back in 62. Gone is the factory economical 4 cylinder upgraded to a 289 which is putting out about 3 times the power making this 2 door a blast to drive. The c4 automatic transmission works as it should shifting thru all 3 gears without hesitation. The paint on the car is clean and looks great. The white...
