Serving as an ideal commercial vehicle, the GMC and Chevrolet Panel Truck gained popularity as a utilitarian vehicle that performed like a truck but could also keep large amounts of cargo covered. This 1965 GMC Panel Truck is powered by a 305 Cubic Inch V6, which is mated to a 3 Speed column-shifted manual transmission which was rebuilt approximately 2,000 miles ago. The yellow exterior brightens up the truck and is complimented well by the tan interior. The 1963 model was essentially unchanged from previous years save for some freshening and added trim; windshields were reshaped and a four-door hardtop 500XL was added. The high-impact Lime Green paint is a Kevlar spray-on material that's super durable and doesn't look like it's been scraped against rocks or dragged through the underbrush on some backwoods trail (although we doubt it would've left a mark anyway), so you know the guy who owned this one was meticulous about keeping it neat. KC off-road helps light up the trails and always looks incredibly cool on a Jeep 4x4, and the black louvered hood insert and removable soft top add further contrast to the bright green finish.
