The 420 was produced by Jaguar for only 2 model years of 1966 and 1967 and marketed as the ultimate expression of a series of compact sporting saloon vehicles. The exterior styling of the 420 was taken from the Jaguar S type and was only slightly altered in the front with changes to the light placement and the design of the grilles. Several mechanical upgrades were made to improve the performance and handling of the 420 over the S type such as an improved Model 8 transmission, a more efficient radiator, a dual line hydraulic braking system, larger dual carburetors, a pre engaged starter, and an alternator rather than the dynamo from the S type. This particular Jaguar spent most of its life in southern California and the fair weather there helped maintain this cars excellent condition throughout. This Jaguar is beautiful inside and out and has had many upgrades making this car ready to be used as a daily driver if you wish.
