Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta is excited to offer this 1973 Jeep CJ-5 Renegade. The consignor states this Jeep has been restored, and shows very well! Painted in a Bright Yellow with Black soft-top and interior, this Jeep has the right look. The paint was laid on very well, and would make any new owner - proud to show her off! They didn't stop there - as the top is new, has a roll bar, custom bumpers, a Rugged Ridge winch mounted up front, and to finish off the look has a nice set of American Racing wheels with Goodyear Wrangler tires. This Jeep is powered by a rebuilt 304 cu in V-8, with Edelbrock valve covers, Edelbrock 4-BBl carb, and new Hooker headers, mated to the standard, 3-speed manual transmission. This Willys has had a frame off Restoration by the previous owner (P. O. ). Body was media blasted, epoxy coated and then painted. All original panels as far as the seller knows. Windshield assembly was replaced with a 1971 version. The later model version allows a taller person to see better without 'slouching' because the windshield wipers are on the bottom, not the top of the windshield.

The Interior has sprayed with bedliner by the the PO. It has also been upgraded with seat tracks were modified, then powered coated, for the new seats. Roll bar was added (powder coated). New top. Ammo can 'console' 75MM Howitzer shell casting 'drink holders' and gun rack. New gauges, speedometer and 12V power port added.

This engine was rebuilt by the PO. Restored the original carburetor. Added extra glass fuel filter. Pertronix electronic ignition, and wires. New water pump. New crankshaft pulley. Radiator cleaned. Installed Mason jar coolant overflow jar. Transmission, transfercase and rear end were rebuilt by the PO. The front axel was rebuilt using all Timken, US made bearings and seals and locking hubs rebuilt. New fuel tank, lines, fuel filter, and pump. New master cylinder, lines, wheel cylinders and shoes...

When you look under the hood you'll find a smooth running 302 Ford V8 with PerTronix ignition, aluminum intake, a Edelbrock 4bbl carburetor and starter. The engine is paired with a 3 speed manual transmission that shifts smoothly so does the 3 speed transfer case. There is manual Warn locking front hubs and fresh shocks all the way around. The gauges and everything work on this Jeep including the Heater and a cool air fan for cruising on those warm summer days. The winch up front has a removable hand control and works fine.
