This 133-year-old buggy was owned and featured by MGM studios in many of our favorite western television shows of the golden era. The television shows this buggy was seen in are 'Gunsmoke', 'Bonanza' as well as 'Rifleman' to name a few. This piece is a wonderful part of early Hollywood Television history and is a time capsule to the old west. Originally purchased by a private buyer here in Colorado as part of a 17-piece MGM Studio collection sale in 1968. After the collection was lovingly cared for, for many years, it was broken up and sold off to other old west memorabilia collectors including this and one other carriage which was purchased by the current owner.
