The Mark Series debuted in 1956 as successor to the Continental line. The Mark series would serve as the flagship car for Ford. Essentially hand-assembled these cars could pull $10,000 in 1956. $10k sounds pretty cheap for a new car but with inflation over time that money today is around $100,000! It was the most expensive American car offered at its time. The Mark series would see 7 generations spanning up until 1998. This model is a '96, near the end of the line for the series and wow is she a beauty! The Toreador Red paint looks terrific, nice deep luster that draws you in. Inside the gray leather interior is soft, supple and looks hardly used. As you would expect for a car with such low mileage. Under the hood is a 4. 6L V8 mated to an automatic transmission. This Lincoln runs, drives, and shifts out as you would expect. A real comfortable cruiser. Current owner has had for over 26 years, acquired her new from the dealer!
