1964 Chevrolet Corvair
View Description
The groundbreaking Corvair, with its air-cooled, rear-mounted, horizontally opposed flat-six engine, was a success for General Motors. The flat six 2. 7L motor makes 110 HP and linked to a four speed manual transmission. The Corvair's four gears are just spaced; you can cruise at 45 mph in third all day long. 1964 is the last year of the original body style, and engineers had corrected some of the swing axle problems by installing a transverse leaf spring across the rear.
Convertible top is manual but extremely easy to operate. The radio is a Custom Auto Sound USA-740 compatible with Bluetooth capabilities and Digital Radio.
