The Lincoln Continentals produced from 1961 through 1963 all came with a 430 cubic inch overhead valve -8 delivering 300 horsepower. This was the big Lincoln V-8 from previous years but was detuned to an extent. The car's transmission was a three-speed automatic. Suspension was a coil spring independent front and a live rear axle with semi-elliptic leaf springs in the back. Brakes were four-wheel hydraulic drums. Production numbers for the 1962 Lincoln Continental were 3,212 four door convertible sedans. It is black with custom red fabric interior. The fourth generation Lincoln carried a new grille the addition of Continental to the hood and grew 5' longer mostly in the rear seats. The 430 CID V8 was enlarged to 462 CID.

The Continental curries a rebuilt engine with low miles since rebuild. Controlling the fuel system is a TBI fuel injection by Howell Engineering. The A/C system has been changed over to an R134 refrigerant with a modern A/C compressor. The brake system has been redone including new hoses, new suspension bushings, ball joints and tie rod ends. The exhaust carry's a new custom dual exhaust with crossover and Flow Master exhausts. The custom red interior is filled with sound by way of a modern vintage look radio with Aux inputs.

The Continental Mark V is the fourth generation Personal Luxury produced by Ford from 1977-1979 and was the highest selling of the Mark Series with over 228,000 being produced. The 1977 was the largest coupe produced by Ford coming in at 230' long and tipping the scales at 4600 lbs. The sharp-edged design was so successful that it was carried over into the 1980's models.
