1969 Pontiac GTO

The GTO line was produced from 1963-1974 but only became model from 1966-1971 with the second generation coming out in 1968 with a more curvaceous, fastback style resulting. For the 1968 model the door vent window was deleted along with a grill and taillight revision as well as the ignition being moved from the dash to the steering column. The gauge background colors were changed from steel blue to black with dual hood scoops becoming standard in 1968. The color coded front endura bumper was added to absorb low impacts and the hood mounted tachometer being added.
The example is bathed in a rich Black Cherry Pearl finish of Dupont Chroma Premier Base Black and finished with a Spie Heker Clear. The convertible top and interior are both in black which nicely accents the Black Cherry Pearl exterior.
