Built by Classic Roadsters of Fargo, ND, this 7/8ths scale SSK replica can be had for a fraction of what it would cost if you were to buy a real M-B SSK. Starting with a reliable 302 CID Ford V8 and a C4 (3-speed) automatic transmission, and (we're told) a Mustang II front end, you've got the basics for a really fun driver that looks like an SSK, but won't run you the millions of dollars that an actual Mercedes SSK would. This Classic Roadsters 'Baron' is one of their less common 4-seat models. Most of Classic Roadsters 7/8th scale SSK replicas were 2-seaters, called the 'Marlene', whereas the 4-seat versions were dubbed 'Baron'. This Baron has Air Conditioning installed, two side mount spare tires, six chrome 'wire basket' wheels, and a rear luggage rack that holds a vintage footlocker effortlessly. Inside, you'll see the wood dash with its complement of VDO gauges, real leather seating, and a thick-rimmed wood Grant steering wheel.
