The Mercury Montclair is a full sized beauty that was only produced by the Mercury brand from 1955 to 1957. In 1955, Mercury took the automotive world by storm when they introduced the 1955 Mercury Montclair Sun Valley. The Montclair Sun Valley was the highest available model and offered a clear, Plexiglas 'bubble top' on the front half of the roof section. In the 1950's, many concept cars were portrayed with clear roof panels to provide for a more futuristic look. In 1955 Mercury only produced 1,500 Montclair's because this idea was very new to consumers. This specific Montclair is definitely capable of taking home awards.
