The GM-A body cars optioned with the 350-CID V8 was the subsidiaries own motor in a time before the separate branches interchanged parts. In 1972 the Lemans was available as a coupe, station wagon, convertible and a 2-door hard top. The most sold of the bunch was the ever popular 2-door hard top, which gave Pontiac over 80,000 sales out of the 120,000 built.
Although the 70's later became a time for drawing back horsepower in order to meet new EPA requirements, make no mistake this car is still a blast to drive.
