For the 1970 model year the Pontiac gave the GTO a revamped look. Styling changes included a total Endura nosepiece with split oval grilles and dual headlamp housings (this new design eliminated the optional hide-away headlamps), creased body sides, a different rear-bumper taillamps, and exhaust pipes that exited through a valance panel under the rear bumper.
