Some call it a Chevy II some little duce coupe, but everyone loves the old square girl. Now when I say square, I do not mean dull or uninteresting because this Chevy II is full of personality. First thing you notice is the sweet deep black luster of this car. There was a lot of work to make this car sharp enough to make the gloss this deep. Then you slide behind the Steering wheel and wonder, was this car this nice when it was new? The answer is a resounding 'No' the dash has the same gloss and gauges and controls on the dash have a fine shinny finish to the chrome that makes them pop. Then you notice the tan with black accent interior with leather seats, cup holders and built in B&M shifter that looks as if it should have been built that way in '62. Full impressed at this point you twist the key and the Chevy 350 cubic inch mouse roars to life. This sturdy power plant has a host of goodies but what I can see is rams head exhaust manifolds, H. E. This incredible Machine is covered in Shadow grey paint and the lower section of the body has been covered in diamond plate to prevent scratching and to give it that tough look. The top is a black canvas bestop. The interior has late model front seats that look to be covered in bestop grey covers. The stereo streams via bluetooth and pumps it out of the Bazooka speakers. Tubular bumpers front and back, the front carries the Off-road lights and the back bumper carries the spare tire. This CJ7 sits on 20-inch fuel rims and the tire size is LT305/55/R20 and has the same set up as a spare. To prevent the dreaded death wobble a beefy steering stabilizer has been installed. Under the hood is a strong running AMC 360 that is backed by a turbo 400 3 speed automatic transmission. It makes me so happy to still have Henry Ford power under the hood, so many classics are getting updated drivetrain, but they are not keeping it with the right brand. Powering this sweet Machine is a stout Ford build Flathead V8 that is hamming out some serious power to the ground and this is all being transferred to the ground via a smooth shifting 3-speed manual transmission. The body lines on this stunning Packard are incredible and unlike anything on the road. This bastion of high-end luxury for it's time is a rolling time capsule and will certainly stand out in any crowd. Open the hood which hinges in the middle and witness the 365 Cubic inch straight eight that looks if it where removed from a tug boat. Backing this power plant is a 3 speed manual transmission. Driving this ultra-cool Packard is a joy. The power to move this big luxury liner is almost instant and plentiful. The smooth shifting 3 speed manual transmission seems to be geared perfectly and moves the old gal down the road smoothly.
