Now the term GOAT gets thrown around a lot these days. Like ' This quarterback is the GOAT. ' But those of us old enough to remember when music was good, knows that there is only one, GTO! Detroit pumped out a lot of muscle cars in the 60's and 70's most of them where subtle but not the GTO, it was in your face and the thump of the cam was a lot like what we call trash talk. Gas, Tires and Oil is what we used to reckon GTO meant but we were wrong about this and I believe that the young generation has this one right, GTO means GOAT and this 1966 GTO has been painted a slick color that I call arrest me red. Powering this 1965 Pontiac GTO is the legendary 389 Tripower, so called because the engine displaces 389 cubic inches, joking, of course this Pontiac power plant is topped with 3 Rochester 2-barrel carburetors. Now back in the good olde days this would have been backed up with either a 3 speed automatic transmission of a 4 speed manual.
