Introduced in 1970 the RX-2, or Capella as it was marketed in Japan, was Mazda's intermediate alternative to their smaller models. Offering a range of motors in not quite midsize, not quite compact coupe and sedan body styles, the RX-2 was popular with families and singles alike and to this day garner a cult like following. RX-2s fitted with the Wankel Rotary were marketed more like a sports car and fitted with a 5 speed manual they sure drove like one too!
