The 300D became a very successful platform for Daimler-Benz and provided customers with more precise handling, superior road surface irregularity damping and isolation, a more comfortable interior, and more modern styling than the previous chassis had, with its newer, smoother lines. The interior of this Benz shows you what German luxury was all about in the 1970s and features larger seating areas covered in rich red vinyl upholstery, woodgrain interior trim, a large steering wheel, and easy to operate controls. Under the hood are Mercedes' stout and durable inline 5-cylinder diesel engine.
