Filling a market void between cars like the Corvette and Thunderbird the Avanti was a luxury coupe that offered style and glamour combined with sportscar performance. Thanks to a design team led by legendary designer, Raymond Loewy, the Avanti was a car that looked like no other and asserted Studebaker's reputation as a carmaker ahead of their time.
