1997 Panoz AIV
View Description
Haven't heard of one before? That's okay! Take Carrol Shelby's recipe for the Cobra, modernize it, and this is pretty close to what you might get!
Weighing in just over 2,500 pounds with an aluminum chassis and a 32-valave 4. 6-liter V8 (Mustang Cobra motor! ), and the recipe is ready sound great! Bolt up a manual 5 speed and all of sudden the part is starting! The drivetrain is proven and Ford's 4. 6 was a modular design and highly serviceable. The same drivetrain was used in the 96 Mustang Cobra!
These were produced in very limited number/ Only 176 from 1997-1999. For this model year this example is 1 of only 49 made! The AIV stand for 'Aluminum Intensive Vehicle' and these were one of the first vehicles to receive this designation in the US.
Almost nobody you run into with this...
