1988 Panther Kallista

View Description

Panther Westwinds was founded back in 1972 by Robert Jankal. Panther was known for making retro-style cars but with modern components. Think of it like a modern restomod back in the 70s. The Panther would see many different models over the years from the J72 up to the rare limited production Solo model. Panther changed ownership over the years but made its way back to Jankal before he passed in '05. Here we have a '88 model Kallista. The Kallista used many Ford mechanicals unlike the Lima used Vauxhall components. The Kallista replaced the Lima model back in 1982. This Kallista, which was named after the Greek word meaning 'small and beautiful', was built beginning in 1983 and imported into the United States beginning in 1985 carrying a sticker price of $23,500. The Kallista proved to be a popular vehicle, but the pricing and hand-built nature of the car slowed production to just 1,695 examples, of which only 148 made it to the United States.

This Kallista features a Blue and white original paint scheme shows in good condition. The convertible top was replaced about 2 years ago. spoked wheels are in nice condition. Tan Leather Bucket seats were replaced about 2 years ago. Powered by a 2. 3-liter Inline 4-cylinder engine with a 2-barrel carburetor mated to a 4-speed manual transmission. This...
