1964 was a tremendous year for Chrysler with the 426 Hemi stepping onto the muscle car scene as well as an impressive lineup of gorgeous vehicles including the Sport Fury. Sales steadily improved thanks to a restyling of the car which featured a new slanted roof. This stunning Plymouth Sport Fury is perhaps one of the nicest that you will see and possesses a powerplant that will knock the socks off of the competition. Featuring a 440 block that has been transformed into a 505 CID Wedge, this monster engine has a Scat Stroker kit from Muscle Motors which also completed all Machine and balance work. The 505 Wedge has been bored to 4. 350 and stroked to 4. 250 with an 11:1 compression ratio. Perhaps one of the coolest aspects of this engine is the fact that the legendary Dick Landy is credited with building the dual Holley 780 CFM carburetors with vacuum secondaries! This '64 was professionally repainted in 2018 to as close as they could get to the original color, Chestnut Brown. The paint flows well with the chrome badging, chrome 15' Ralley Wheels wrapped in raised white letter radial tires, and the chrome bumpers. The interior is a sharp two-toned tan and brown that matched the paint theme great. The seat coverings and carpet were purchased new from Legendary interiors, while the door panels, headliner, and dash pad are original. Looking at this car you think of it as a beauty but then pop the hood open and realize that this is more of a beast. Powering this '64 Fury is a 451 CID V8 that is mated to an 883 4-Speed manual transmission and pushing the power to the ground through a sure grip rear end with 3:23 gears. The original 361 CID V8 was replaced with a 400 cubic inch block that was bored over and out of a '73 Chrysler. During the rebuilt no expense was spared to make this car run with the best of them. Looking at this wicked Plymouth is a trip back in time. Check out that Super-Stock stance, menacing lines, and black finish. Cars like these terrorized the streets back in the day including Pontiac's newly introduced 389 GTO. These big-block Plymouths held their own on the street and strip, and graced the silver screen in movies such as Mark Hamell's 'Corvette Summer' where a nearly identical '64 Plymouth Sport Fury was pitted against his customized Corvette. Ah the good ole days!

The exterior is in great shape and would not take much to be outstanding. The paint is smooth and glossy. Glass and brightwork are in very good condition. The red bucket / console interior shows well, and is spacious and very comfortable. The folks at Dodge sure designed one sharp interior. And the trunk? Well, it's big.
