1964 was a tremendous year for Chrysler with the 426 Hemi stepping onto the muscle car scene as well as an impressive lineup of gorgeous vehicles including the Sport Fury. Sales steadily improved thanks to a restyling of the car which featured a new slanted roof. This stunning Plymouth Sport Fury is perhaps one of the nicest that you will see and possesses a powerplant that will knock the socks off of the competition. Featuring a 440 block that has been transformed into a 505 CID Wedge, this monster engine has a Scat Stroker kit from Muscle Motors which also completed all Machine and balance work. The 505 Wedge has been bored to 4. 350 and stroked to 4. 250 with an 11:1 compression ratio. Perhaps one of the coolest aspects of this engine is the fact that the legendary Dick Landy is credited with building the dual Holley 780 CFM carburetors with vacuum secondaries!
