While there are many of these that have been hot rodded and restored back to original, this one takes the cake on being a step above the rest with its customizations. This Pontiac will draw you in with its beautiful dark red paint job and make you stay for the intricate details that have been thoughtfully put into the car. Getting up close you will see that the dark red has been accented with matching pin striping around the car as well as a 'Pocahontas' graphic along the trunk helping really set off the look of this beauty. Under the hood of this Machine lies an inline 8-cylinder engine which makes a throaty exhale through a set of chrome lake pipes which are capped off with a set of custom made cut-out covers at the ends that feature an Indian head. Pontiac was introduced by General Motors in 1926 and was to be the companion to GM-s Oakland Division, which GM purchased in 1909. Shortly after in was introduced, Pontiac began outselling Oakland, and Pontiac became the only companion marque to outlive its parent company, as the last of the Oaklands rode off the assembly line in 1932. By 1933 Pontiac was producing the least expensive cars equipped with straight eight engines. They were able to keep cost down by using the body and other parts from a 6-cylinder Chevrolet Master. To differentiate it, they installed the -Silver Streak,- a large chrome strip running down the center of the hood. The 3. 7L, 233 CID straight eight-cylinder engines produced 77 horsepower and had a maximum speed of 78 miles per hour. A 3-speed manual transmission transfers those 77 horses to the rear end and to the pavement via the wide white wall bias ply tires.
