Hugger Orange may be one of the most recognizable Chevrolet colors. For a Camaro, the color was available for two years only: 1969 and 1999. This 1999 is one of only 56 cars to receive the following options: hugger orange paint, the SS package, t-tops, and a 6 speed manual transmission. For a 4th generation enthusiast, this might be seen as the holy grail Camaro. This particular example is low mileage sitting right at 36,371 miles. This Mustang coupe was restored about 7 years ago and comes with pictures and receipts of the restoration. At that time a 351 Windsor was installed with new lifters, Edelbrock Performer intake, Edelbrock 4 barrel carburetor, Edelbrock chrome valve covers, flex fan, and headers. This car has plenty of go! Chrome 5 spoke Torque Thrust style wheels, a black rocker stripe, hood with recessed turn signal lights and hood scoop, dual exhaust with chrome tips, a new gas cap, and a killer stance provided by air shocks on the rear give this Mustang more of a muscle car feel. This vehicle is a great representation of this GM classic. 1975 saw a considerably poor year for dealers as fewer than 7. 1 million cars were sold. Adding to this issue was the overall styling evolution of most vehicles this year onward as sleek body lines shifted to boxier shapes. Emission controls were addressed with GM installing catalytic converters on all its vehicles. While these were placed on Firebirds, it cannot be said that this vehicle underwent any poor aesthetic changes. The power plant may have diminished from a 455 to an optional 400 or 350, but the Pontiac Firebird still was flying strong compared to its pony car rivals. This Firebird still retains the cool factor of the mid-seventies and has some kick thanks to a 350 V8 engine and a four-speed manual transmission that rips this sweet ride down the street! Open the hood to study the extremely clean engine bay and you-ll be greeted by the familiar Pontiac metallic blue engine block topped with a Quick Fuel Carburetor and Edelbrock performance intake manifold! In 1974 sales did increase, however when considering classic cars today, they're a far cry from the popularity of the 1973 and older Mustangs.
