The car has spent the last 21 years with the same owner and experienced a lot of maintenance and repairs. Most striking of all is the beautiful respray. The car looks magnetic! The exterior shows VERY well. The interior has newer vinyl on the seats, but the dash, arm rest, and other surfaces appear mostly original.

Additional maintenance over the years includes brakes calipers, brake lines, rotors, pads, fuel lines, carpet, shocks, carburetor, spark plugs, spark plug wires, and recently had some exhaust replaced.

Some incidentals that don't work include the horn intermittently, the AC, and the turn signal lights within the dash.

This is a right hand drive JDM model that was purchased by the current owner in Florida in April of 2019 and was imported to the US shortly before then. Under the hood is a 1. 6L B16A 4 cylinder engine that sounds great breathing through 5Zigen headers and a buddy club spec 2 catback exhaust. The transmission is a 5 speed Y21 with LSD. This engine and transmission combo gives you plenty of power to get this lightweight hatchback moving quickly but the real treat is how the car handles. This Camaro appears to be largely unmodified and in great condition. Under the hood this 4th generation Camaro is one of the last years of the LT1 and the engine has aged well! There is a great online spreadsheet that documents the number of 4th gens built with what options down to interior colors, etc. This 1997 Camaro is equipped with the 30th anniversary seats. When narrowing down that it is a Z28, with these options it narrows down to a 1 of 3 according to this breakdown. A large copy has been printed by the seller and is available in the trunk. What we have here is a RWD, V8 Wagon spinning 295 section width tires (295/40/R20) with stock wheel wells! The United States has always been slow to love wagons, or maybe slow to admit it. They all hold a spot of nostalgia for some of us - think Christmas Vacation and the 'family truckster.
