Ford finally answered the Chevrolet Bel Air and Plymouth Belvedere charge with the Victoria hardtop in 1951, borrowing the term from the Victoria carriage. The car was an instant hit, outselling the Chevrolet by nearly 10%. All 1951 Fords sported a new "dual-bullet" grille and heavy chrome bumpers. This year Ford also added a new "turn-key" ignition and front suspension independent coil springs. This 4 owner Vicky came from California to our great state of Georgia about a year ago. The steering box has been rebuilt and all new tie rod assembly and bushings were done with a 4 wheel alignment at the same time. The Ford also sports new rear axle bearings, new coil springs, front HD sway bar, front radiator splash pan, dual action fuel pump, lower pressure electric fuel pump, rebuilt windshield wiper motor, rebuilt distributor, new fuel gage float, new fresh air flaps, new heater fan motor, and 12 volt alternator. This Victoria has the correct LeBonney interior, Fenton Headers, dual exhaust, C4 transmission (type “F”), high torque starter, working gauges, LED tail lights, and a day/night mirror.
