This electric conversion was done in 2012 by the current owner. There are no oil changes, no valve adjustments, no fluid leaks and you will never stall it on the clutch. It has a 120 volt system with a Curtis controller, smart 110 volt on board charger all under the front hood. The 120 volt DC motor was made in Belgium by Kostov Motors and 10 battery pack yellow top Optima provides the lighting for this bug. An accessory battery is mounted under the hood with a trickle charger. The range is 16-25 miles depending on how you drive and can be recharged in about 5 hours. The restoration includes rear extender shocks, wheel covers, brake shoes, master cylinder, running boards, bumpers, rubber seals, and body chrome. All EV conversion documents are available to buyer.
