In the 1962 model year, the Skylark became a model in its own right. It used the previous year’s basic sheet metal but was available in two new body styles: a two door convertible coupe and a two door hardtop. In 1962, the Skylark was also the first American car to use a V6 engine in volume production. This beauty has a 215 cid V8 that was tuned to 190 hp. It has a 2 speed automatic transmission. The 1962 was named Motor Trend’s Car of the Year. The carb was rebuilt in 2017 and the car was repainted in 2015 as well as the seats being replaced. This classic is a two owner car and is looking for it’s next. Come see it for yourself. It’s ready for the top down weather.
