Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta is offering a 1931 Ford Model A two door sedan. The Model A paved the way for mass produced vehicles. By the end of the run, Ford had produced almost 5 million Model A's. These vehicles could be purchased in a variety of body styles. From sporty roadsters to industrial trucks, the platform was extremely versatile. This particular example is the popular two door sedan. There's seating for 4 and plenty of windows for airflow. Even the front wind screen can be tilted open to let in fresh air. Under the hood is a simple flat head 4-cylinder engine. It uses a 3-speed manual transmission and transfers power to the rear axle. These cars are not speed machines, but they are torquey and fun to drive around town. The consignor has owned the car since 1999, and states they have the receipt for the engine rebuild from 7/00. This one fires up nicely and runs and drives like it should. The exterior is a Brown and Tan 2- tone paint, with cloth interior upholstery. This Model A is road ready and has a lot of life left. Take home a piece of history with this 1931 Ford Model A. You can see this Model A in greater detail in our Atlanta showroom or at www.GatewayClassicCars.com.
