This 1979 Cadillac phaeton is a rare model on its own due to the low production of the Phaeton package; This 1979 Cadillac DeVille coupe is one of 1,832 Custom Phaetons built in the model year and is finished in Western Saddle Firemist over Antique Saddle leather, it has the 5.7 350 diesel engine which makes this particular phaeton a bit rare; diesel engines in the Phaetons were extremely low numbered.
If you are searching for one, you will find they are hard to find in such an eye-catching condition. The paint and chrome are nice, the fabric Phaeton top shows very well, and the undercarriage is in astounding shape for a 1979 Cadillac. The underside was detailed and taken care of well, and the engine bay was also well-kept. Two new batteries were installed recently, the engine runs well, and the transmission shifts properly. The leather interior is clean and ready to be enjoyed on those long cruises around the city or countryside. The headliner fabric was replaced years ago. The steering wheel and door panels are in good condition for a vehicle this age. The carpet also looks good, along with the original floor mats. The twilight headlights, power windows, power locks, power seats, and AM / FM radio all work as expected. The air conditioning would benefit from a recharge. The rear left and right side bumper fillers have been replaced recently.
