The bright red paint really draws your attention to the smooth lines and overall tidy appearance of this classic. Ford unveiled the Galaxie in 1959 and affectionately named this full size car Galaxie to gain excitement surrounding the Space Race and Americas competition to get to the moon. To look at quality construction of this car it could have passed as a luxury car of the time.
This car is a true pleasure to drive thanks to the power steering, power brakes, a smooth shifting automatic transmission and even a power convertible top that works great with just the touch of a button. The paint was redone back in 1989 but still has a nice shine and makes this a great car for some summer cruising and is presentable enough to take to your local cruise nights. The interior appears mostly original and the front seat has seen plenty of use over the last 52 years but the addition of the cow print seat covers add a fun touch. This car also features seat belts and the original AM radio. Once you sit behind that large plastic steering wheel you realize how much fun this car really is and one turn of the key and the 352 Cubic Inch V8 just purrs to life. After many years of car and maintenance the current owner has agreed to let this beauty go to the next loving home.
