Originally a C-code car with a 289 2bbl V8, there just wasn’t enough grunt behind this motor to keep the owner happy, so it was yanked to make way for a 390 backed up by a C4 and Ford 9†rear. The installation was very clean, and shows fantastic with the gold dress up kit against the Wimbledon white paint. The body was taken down to bare metal and completely built up to give this classic Ford the quality of restoration that it deserves.
The body does no good if it isn’t a joy to drive, so all the suspension was rebuilt, including new leaf springs, shocks, coil springs, and links, to make this body glide down the road like Ford intended it to. A new set of wheels and tires make the Galaxie planted and sure-footed as ever. Keeping the 390 running smooth is an all new cooling system, including the radiator. Getting fluid in all the right places is a new set of hoses for the cooling system and power steering.
This clean ’64 Galaxie is ready to tour the open road. Options include: AM Radio, Power Steering, Vinyl Interior, and Alloy Wheels.
