Vinyl InteriorFor sale in our Chicago showroom is this beautiful 1964 Studebaker Gran Turismo Hawk. Powering this rare bird is a 283 cubic inch 4-barrel V8 paired up to a 4-speed manual transmission. In the final year of the GT Hawk, the body lines were smoothed out a bit from ’62 and ’63, most notably from having the rear trunk “grille†inset removed in favor of a smooth trunk. Subtle badge changes were made at the front of the car to provide a fresh look from all angles on this classic beauty.
The slick white coat shows great on the open road in the sun, and contrasts wonderfully with the burgundy interior. The chrome glistens, and the glass sparkles rolling through the concrete jungle in a sense of style that won’t be soon forgotten by onlookers. Since production was halted early in the ’64 model year, it was only produced in low numbers, less than 1,500 were made! The A/C has been converted, and the front disc brakes grab like they just were installed at the factory!
