Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago is excited to offer this highly modified 1970 Chevrolet Camaro. In 1967 we saw the introduction of the Camaro, Chevy’s answer to the Ford Mustang. Just three years into production Chevrolet brought us a total redesign of the car, ushering in the infamous split bumper design.

The car on offer is far from what it was when it came from the factory. This is a purpose built road/track car. Underneath this eye popping Orange exterior you’ll find a multitude of performance upgrades since it was built in south Georgia around 8 years ago. Powering this beast is a built 406 Small Block Chevy engine mated to a T56 6-Speed Transmission. Performance modifications include AFR Cylinder heads, Comp Cams Xtreme Energy Cam, Edelbrock Air gap intake, Demon 625 carburetor, and Professional Products Harmonic balancer. Making sure the transmission can handle all the added power a Mcleod billet Flywheel and hydraulic clutch were added; the transmission then connects to the custom Aluminum driveshaft sending power to the Strange Ford 9” with 4.11 gears. Helping the car make tight corners are BMR upper and lower front control arms, BMR rear torque arm and AFCO remote reservoir double adjustable shocks.

The carbon fiber hood and deck lid from Anvil Auto make for an aggressive look contrasting against the bright Orange exterior. Adding to its menacing look are the staggered Black Formula 43 RAD S5 wheels measuring 18x9 upfront and 18x12 in the back. Inside the car you’ll find an original styled interior with custom tan leather bucket seats and a 4 point roll cage. You can listen to the radio cruising down the highway or roll down the windows to hear the roar of the Magnaflow exhaust as you blast around the racetrack.

If you are looking for a unique car that you can drive to the track, set some nice lap times and drive home, then look no further.
