The 500 cubic inch engine with 4 barrel Rochester Quadrajet runs great, with the choke working and a recent tune up. The options on the Cadillac are; power top with new actuators and cables, power windows, power locks, power seat, power antenna, power trunk lid release, cruise control, Climate Control A/C which needs a recharge, 3 speed wipers, Dual Remote side mirrors with a driver\'s side thermometer, the original Cadillac key set, factory parade boot with original cover sleeve for storage, factory front Cadillac license plate insert, spare tire cover, AM/FM Delco Stereo radio with seek control, Lighting Package Group, factory clock, rear seat lighters and ashtrays left and right sides, leather interior, and a passenger kick panel garbage can. Also included is the rear bumper filler that goes around lower gas tank filler, a car cover, spare top l/r convertible frame actuators, and a factory service manual. The tires are newer, as well as the convertible top so this car is ready to cruise! On 12/27 the owner added the missing steering wheel emblem and repaired the passenger fender emblem. Starting in 1973 the Eldorado was removed from Fleetwood sub-series status and reestablished as its own totally separate series. The Cadillac Eldorado was chosen as the pace car for the Indy 500 in 1973. All in all, Cadillac produced 566 of these special pace car convertibles. Thirty-three were used at the track during the race week and the remaining 513 cars were distributed to the U.S. Cadillac dealers (one for each dealership), which were then sold to the general public.
