1972 Chevrolet Camaro

For sale in our Chicago showroom is this super clean 1972 Chevrolet Camaro! Powered by a 396, attached to a 4 speed manual transmission. This is a complete numbers matching vehicle with very rare factory air option. This was the last year for the SS and big block options for the Camaro. One of only 970 Camaro SS’s with the 396, this car had a full rotisserie restoration in 2015. Many of the original parts were kept during restoration, while the drivetrain was completely rebuilt. The motor is all original with the exception of some interior parts to produce a “streetable” 425HP sent to a Muncie M22 4 speed transmission and clutch assembly, which have also been rebuilt. The original drive shaft, heavy duty u-joints and 10 bolt posi rear end put the power to the pavement. Looking at this car you could almost say it was brand new! Only 2K miles since the restoration. The car comes with a professional appraisal and documentation in a nicely organized binder.

Some of the new parts that have been installed are as follows:

Polyurethane body mounts, suspension bushings, motor and transmission mounts. New suspension, including leafs, coils, shocks, factory front and rear sway bars. New brakes all the way around disc fronts, drum rear, power booster, master cylinder, and SS brake lines. Along with new parking brake hardware. The new fuel system includes: Fuel tank, SS fuel lines, AC Delco Correct fuel pump and filter, and correct Rochester Quadrajet carb tuned to the motor. New electronic ignition, new complete vehicle wiring harness. New OER interior includes headliner, carpet, center counsel, and seat covers (all other interior is original) Many countless OER nuts, bolts, screw, switches relays, and minor engine/body parts used getting this car back to it’s mostly original condition!
