With a stronger powerplant, it's only reasonable to fit larger turbos and injectors to get the fuel and air really pumping through it. With a factory rating of 320hp its safe to say this build is well north of 400 at the crank with an estimated 330-350 horsepower spinning all 4 wheels. All of this power is spun through a stage 2 clutch into a 6-speed manual transmission. Giving the Mitsubishi the ability to announce its arrival is a Medallion Concept G Blue Concept exhaust with an aggressive rumble that isn't overbearing.
Having all the hot parts is great but having control over how they all work together is paramount. During the build of this 3000GT the seller wanted to leave nothing to guesswork and fitted an AEM stand alone ECU for complete control over the engine to ensure it will run exactly as you want it. Moving this 3800lb performance machine is one thing but as mentioned, having power is nothing without control. Fitted from the factory with an innovative 4-wheel steering, these vehicle handle like a much lighter vehicle.
As impressive as the car was new, some things just need to be updated. The brakes have been replaced with drilled & slotted rotors giving maximum bite when stretching this monsters' legs. New axles were fitted as well to freshen up the driveline. To modernize the visuals of the VR4, a Serano body kit was installed and painted to match the clean body lines of this classic import.
