This 55 Chevy has a Chevy 350 300hp small block engine, with the Demon 3 Duece carburetor setup on an aluminum intake, backed with a Turbo 350 automatic transmission. Upgrades done on this Bel Air are dual exhaust that is tucked up nicely behind the rear bumper, trans cooler, 605 power steering gear box, tilt column, Locar Shifter, 15 inch Chevy Rally Wheels, AM/FM cassette, 3 point front seat belts, aftermarket gauges, newer front and rear springs, and new front and rear bumpers and bumperettes. The interior has been freshened up also. The 2 tone Black and Silver paint job is about 14 years old, but looks great! The brakes are manual 11" drum brakes. For 1955, Chevrolet's full-size model received all new styling and power. It was called the "Hot One" in GM's advertising campaign. Chevrolet's styling was crisp, clean and incorporated a Ferrari-inspired grille. Bel Airs came with features found on cars in the lower models ranges plus interior carpet, chrome headliner bands on hardtops, chrome spears on front fenders, stainless steel window moldings, and full wheel covers.
