Vinyl Interior1973 Volvo P1800 ES for sale in Chicago Illinois. This unique 1973 Volvo is equipped with AM/FM radio, power brakes, seat belts and a vinyl interior. The wheels on this P1800 have been recently reconditioned with original hub caps and new chrome trim rings. The paint on this Volvo has recently been redone and is in good condition. All the gauges on the dash work along with the original AM/FM radio. Originally a New Mexico car the Volvo is a former reliable daily driver. The front bumper is detached but is included in the sale. 1973 was the last year the P1800 was produced and was only available in an ES version. Total production of the 1800 line from 1961 through 1973 was 47,492 units. Production ended on June 27, 1973. The cause of the P1800\'s demise was its competition: the Volvo P1800 was introduced at the same time as the Jaguar E-Type and in the US the P1800\'s price was not much less than the Jaguar. In fact, in the UK it was slightly more expensive than an E-Type.
