Vinyl InteriorThis 1969 Dodge Charger is listed for sale in Chicago, Illinois. Stunning silver body, black vinyl top, and blue interior. Options include the following: AM/FM radio, power brakes, power steering, vinyl interior, seat belts, radial tires, and front disc brakes. Restored approximately 10 years ago with original interior intact. Non-matching numbers 383 V8 engine, new carburetor (750), new 3.23 rear, R/T and Hemi badging on body. Paint showing well with no rust and a clean undercarriage; vehicle is overall straight and solid. Recent work includes new wires, ignition, battery, alternator, fuel lines, fuel pump, shroud, and re-cored radiator. All gauges function correctly, clock does not work, and all lights, interior and exterior, operate.
The 1969 model year brought few modifications from the 1968 Charger. Exterior changes included a new grille with a center divider and new longitudinal taillights. A new trim line called the Special Edition (SE) was added to the Charger lineup. This could be available by itself or packaged with the R/T, thus making an R/T-SE. The SE added leather inserts to the front seats only, chrome rocker moldings, a wood grain steering wheel, and wood grain inserts on the instrument panel. A sunroof was added to the option list (only 260 sold installations). Total production numbered 89,199 units.
