Up for sale in our Chicago showroom is a very appealing 1937 Chevrolet Master Deluxe. Rumbling underneath the hood is a 350 small-block V8, which is backed by a Turbo 350 automatic transmission, and runs to a 10-bolt rear end. Modifications on this ’37 Chevy include rack and pinion steering, front power disc brakes, Accel Super Coil, Edelbrock 4 barrel carburetor and intake manifold, a Pioneer AM/FM/CD player, chrome alternator, and chrome air cleaner. Options on this Master Deluxe include: A/C, power brakes, power windows, tilted wheel, seat belts, cloth interior, and radial tires. A trend-setting highlight was a body crease that started in the valley between the engine compartment and front fender, and extended across the cowl and onto the front door. A strengthened version of the box girder frame, which was introduced on the 1936 Standard cars, was used throughout the 1937 line. Bodies, were wider and roomier than before, were made entirely of stainless steel instead of the traditional composite construction. The Deluxe series came with extra convenience items such as a dashboard heater, a front passenger armrest, twin sun visors, double windshield wipers, dual tail-lights, and front bumper guards. Jump in this street rod and show it off at the local show!
