The engine has been upgraded with ported and polished 781 iron heads, Comp Cams Xtreme dual lift cam, ported Edelbrock RPM Air-Gap intake manifold, Holley Ultra 750 4 barrel aluminum carburetor, March serpentine system, ceramic-coated Hooker Headers, Be-Cool aluminum radiator with dual electric fans, and an MSD ignition. A 700R4 transmission with a B&M shifter and 3,000 rpm stall sure help carry the power to the 10-bolt posi rear-end with 3.73 gears. When you are done drooling over the engine, you can get in the driver’s seat. Put the gas pedal a couple times and turn the key to hear that big block rumble through the 3†exhaust. When you want to make your presence known, just open the exhaust cutouts. With quite a few billet and chrome accessories, it shows very well when you clean it up. The 3rd generation Chevelle was an extensively used body style in Nascar competition with over 30 wins from 1973 to 1977.
