Up for sale in our Chicago showroom is a 1952 Ford F1, known as the Ford Bonus-Built. This was the beginning of the ever-lasting F-series truck and one of the most popular trucks in the U.S.! It was available in four basic models: the pickup (F1-F3), the panel truck, cab-over engine chassis (F5-F6, and the branded C-series), and the school bus chassis (F5-F6, branded the B-series). This particular F1 was rebuilt with a 350 V8, which is back by a Turbo 400, and runs to a 10-bolt rear-end. Options on this first-generation F-series for sale include: AM/FM/Cassette player, cruise control, power brakes and power steering, and vinyl interior. Changes for the 1951 and 1952 models included adding a wide, aerodynamic cross piece connecting the headlights along with similarly aerodynamic supports. The rear window was wider in these later trucks and the dashboard was redesigned and was called the “Five-Star Cabâ€. Ford is now on their 15th generation of the F-series truck, which has held many titles such as the Best-Selling Vehicle for over 40 years and the Best-Selling Truck for over 30 years!
