1937 Pontiac Silver Streak

For sale in our Chicago showroom is this custom 1937 Pontiac Silver Streak. From 1935 to 1956, the bold Silver Streak trim was a Pontiac trademark. With the Silver Streak styling theme, a wide band of bright metal that ran straight down the centerline of the hood and deck, chief of the Pontiac design studio Frank Hershey accomplished two feats: he cleverly disguised the Chevrolet-based sheet metal, and he gave Pontiac something it badly needed: a visual brand identity. The distinctive look would continue for another two decades. This Pontiac is powered by a Chevy 350 cubic inch V8 that has a nice rumble and drives nicely, as it shifts through a 350 turbo automatic transmission, which is routed to a Pontiac Firebird rear end with 2.73 gears. The Aqua paint compliments the curves of the vehicle, while the trademark Silver Streak trim really pops. The custom interior gives this classic a "new car" feel on the inside. Your eyes are not deceiving you, that is power door locks, power windows, and power seats in a 1937 Pontiac. Grab ahold of the custom Boyd steering wheel, and feel free to adjust the tilt on the steering column. The dash is painted with the same Aqua that was used on the outside, with chrome accents. The Dakota digital dash really accents this well. The AM/FM stereo with CD player has an electric antenna. The air-conditioning duct work is out of a mid 90's Geo Spectrum. The rear window actuators are from a Dodge Grand Caravan's side windows. Take a peak underneath and you will not be disappointed. The front end sub frame is from an early 70's Camaro. The exhaust and fuel tank is made of stainless steel. This Silver Streak was even assembled with stainless steel nuts and bolts. Options include: air-conditioning, AM/FM stereo with CD, cruise control, power brakes, power steering, power door locks, power seats, power windows, tilt steering wheel, seat belts, cloth interior, radial tires, and aluminum/alloy wheels.
