For sale in our Chicago showroom is this 1971 Chevrolet K10 Custom 4x4. This Chevy pickup is part of the second generation of this line. It had a new, more modern look that brought about a new nickname: "Action Line." It was with this revision of the C/K truck that General Motors began to add comfort and convenience items to a vehicle line that had previously been for work purposes alone. Updated styling features for the Chevy pickup trucks came with new body sheet metal that helps fight rust and a pickup box made of double-walled steel. Some changes that were specific to 1971 was a new grille design, the "egg crate," AM/FM radios were factory installed, and front drum brakes were switched to disc brakes. The 1/2 ton 4x4 retained the 6 lug bolt pattern. This K10 is powered by a GM 350 crate motor with only 1 mile on it. Yes you read that correctly, only 1 mile on this 350 cubic inch V8. This fresh engine shifts its power through a 350 turbo automatic transmission, which is routed to a GM 12 bolt rear end with 3.08 gears. The transmission has less than 100 miles on it since it was rebuilt. The power steering pump and alternator have also been rebuilt. The exterior is painted Teal that gives this truck a unique look that you are looking for. The Teal really compliments the chrome accents and black bed liner. The interior was kept simple and original. The same Teal paint wraps around the dash and headliner. The soft black cloth interior is comfortable and makes driving this machine a pleasure. After you climb out of the cab, take a look underneath, you will not be disappointed. The 4 inch lift makes it easy to see the detail that went into this build. All four-wheel drive models had leaf springs on both axles. Not only is there a fresh motor and rebuilt transmission, but body was also taken off and the frame was sand blasted, primed and painted. Notice the stainless steel brake and fuel lines. The wheels are wrapped in 35x12.50x15 BF Goodrich All Terrain tires. Options include: air-conditioning, AM radio, power brakes, power steering, tilt steering wheel, seat belts, cloth interior, radial tires, and rally wheels. It's a nice driver and it can be yours with one phone call!!!
